Continuous Power Output at 8-ohms is 20 watts per channel, 40 hz to 12,500 hz, both channels driven. At 20 watts
output, rated Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) is 0.80%, and rated Intermodulation Distortion (IM) is also 0.80%.
At an output of one watt -- the normal minimum listening level -- both the THD and IM are rated at 0.10%.
The front panel controls include volume; balance; bass; treble; loudness; hi-filter; mono/stereo; tape monitor in-out.
Also on the front -- power on-off switch; A-main and B-remote speaker buttons; headphone jack; FUNCTION switch
for Aux, Phono, FM Stereo, AM and Mic; mic mix level control; Am-Fm tuning knob.
Rear panel inputs for magnetic phono, hi-level auxillary, tape recorder. Front panel 1/8-inch phone jack microphone inputs.
Mic signals may be mixed with any FUNCTION source -- AM, FM, Phono, Aux. Mic jacks are wired so that if only the left is
used, then the signal is sent to both channels. Using both left and right mic jacks results in a normal stereo signal.
Also on the rear panel -- tape recorder outputs; Am-Fm antenna inputs; Special Preamp/Power Amp In-Out jacks with a
control switch; Preamp/Power Amp jacks are also for equalizers, which may have their own tape monitor inputs/outputs
-OR- for an external power amplifier to take the place of the 6046a's amplifier; plus-hoy, minus-ground screw terminals
for A-main and B-remote speakers; unswitched 300-watt capacity AC convenience outlet. Also, for when the STR-6046a
is used in certain European locales, a 5-element DIN in-out socket for tape recorders using that type connector.
