Lafayette   LT-725 Am-Fm Stereo Tuner   LA-750 Amplifier

First offered to the public in Lafayette's Catalog 700 (for 1970), published September 1969.

The LT-725 was a fine performing tuner. However, the SCA feature, which allowed for reception of the private FM sub-channels
normally aimed at commercial-based entities, was within a short time ruled illegal in consumer product offerings by the FCC.
The FCC ban was reported on in the November 1969 issue of Radio Electronics «« (click-on to read).

LT-725 tuners were later sold with the SCA button disabled. In September 1971, a replacement version named LT-725A first appeared
in Lafayette'a 720 catalog (for 1972), with a MUTE feature in the spot where the SCA button had previously been. The LT-725A was
tested with highly favorable results in the January 1972 issue of High Fidelity magazine.

The LA-750 amplifier was a lower-power version of Lafayette's LA-125TA amplifier (also first offered in the 700 catalog),
capable of delivering 10 watts per channel (approximate RMS continuous rating). Both the LA-750 and its later successor,
the LA-950, would be featured in Lafayette's catalogs well into the 1970's.
