Power-BALL Lottery Odds .. Seven or Eight Balls | One Set Only

An alternative playing format for the Powerball Lottery Game, where players currently select two sets of balls -- five out of a set
of 69, plus one out of a set of 26. Instead, the method presented herein involves only one set of balls. Chances of a successful
draw match is based on the number of balls correctly chosen from a given set.   For example, a lottery game offers a 47-ball
set, where balls are numbered 1 to 47, and a player must select eight of the 47 balls. The chance of correctly matching all
eight balls in any given 8-of-47 game draw is 1 in 314,457,495.

By comparison with any seven or eight ball choice scenario presented below, the chance for a succcessful match of
an actual Power-BALL draw (five white balls from 1 to 69 and one Power-Ball from 1 to 26) is 1 in 292,201,338.
